The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Transforming Modern Business Practices
Main Article Content
Abstract
Artificial intelligence has emerged as an important technological force in the transformation of modern business practices. Organizations across industries are increasingly using artificial intelligence for data analysis, process automation, customer service, forecasting, risk management, marketing, human resource management, and strategic decision-making. This paper examines the role of artificial intelligence in transforming modern business practices, with particular attention to operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, customer experience, marketing, financial management, supply chain management, human resources, innovation, cybersecurity, and organizational challenges. AI-based systems can process large volumes of information rapidly and identify patterns that may support managerial decisions. Automation can also reduce repetitive work and allow employees to focus on more complex and creative activities. However, the adoption of AI creates challenges related to data quality, privacy, cybersecurity, workforce displacement, algorithmic bias, implementation costs, and organizational readiness. The paper argues that successful AI adoption depends not only on technological capability but also on appropriate governance, skilled employees, quality data, ethical practices, and alignment with organizational objectives. AI should therefore be viewed as a strategic capability that can complement human expertise rather than simply as a replacement for human labour. Organizations that combine AI technologies with responsible management and continuous learning can strengthen productivity, innovation, competitiveness, and long-term business resilience.
