The Reality of Employing the Teaching Methodology of Physical Education and Sports Lessons at the Secondary Level: A Field Study

Abstract

This study aims to identify the reality of physical education and sports teachers' use of the teaching methodology for physical education and sports lessons at the secondary level, and to examine the extent to which this methodology contributes to the organization and success of the lesson. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was adopted, and a questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument. It was administered to a sample of 25 physical education and sports teachers working in several secondary schools in the Province of M'Sila.


The findings of the study revealed that physical education and sports teachers employ a well-structured teaching methodology that contributes significantly to organizing lesson time, improving students' discipline, and enhancing their motivation to participate. This confirms the pivotal role of the teaching methodology in ensuring the success of physical education and sports lessons at the secondary level.
