Main Article Content
Abstract
The present study aimed to examine the nature of the relationship between generalized anxiety disorder and psychological quality of life among university students. A descriptive–correlational design was adopted, and the study was conducted on a purposive sample of 80 students (male and female) majoring in Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Sétif 2. Two measurement instruments were employed: the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale developed by Fouzia Ben Abdallah, and the Psychological Quality of Life Scale developed by El-Galati and Muflih bin Mohammed Muflih, encompassing six dimensions. The findings revealed a statistically significant negative correlation between generalized anxiety disorder and all dimensions of psychological quality of life among students at the University of Sétif 2. These results indicate that higher levels of anxiety are associated with lower levels of psychological adjustment and well-being, underscoring the importance of preventive psychological interventions within the university environment
