The Role of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Enhancing the Quality of Scientific Research: Students of the National Higher School of Political Science (Algeria) case study

Abstract
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is bringing significant changes to a wide range of sectors, particularly higher education and scientific research. In this context, the present study investigates the role of AI applications in enhancing the quality of scientific research among students at the National Higher School of Political Science in Algeria. It seeks to examine the extent to which students rely on AI applications in conducting their research, identify the applications they use most frequently, and assess their contribution to improving research quality.
The study was conducted among a sample of 200 students representing different academic levels. The findings indicate that students use AI applications to varying degrees, with ChatGPT emerging as the most widely used application. The results also show that students consider AI applications valuable in improving the quality of scientific research, particularly by facilitating access to information, translation, research organization, and the preparation of academic work, while also reducing the time and effort required. Moreover, the findings demonstrate a statistically significant positive effect of AI application use on the quality of scientific research.
