The Role of Hormones in Regulating Human Physiological Processes
Main Article Content
Abstract
Hormones are chemical messengers that coordinate many physiological processes in the human body. Produced by endocrine glands and specialized tissues, hormones regulate metabolism, growth, reproduction, stress responses, fluid balance, blood glucose, and many other functions. Hormonal actions depend on interactions between endocrine organs, target tissues, receptors, and feedback mechanisms. This paper examines nine major dimensions of hormonal regulation, including endocrine signaling, metabolism, growth, reproduction, stress, thyroid function, fluid balance, feedback regulation, and hormonal disorders.
